Feedhorn
A feedhorn is a device used in satellite communication systems to collect and direct radio waves from the satellite dish to the low-noise block downconverter (LNB). It is typically a horn-shaped antenna that is positioned at the focal point of the dish reflector. The feedhorn is designed to match the impedance of the LNB and minimize signal loss. It also helps to reduce interference from other sources by blocking out-of-band signals. Feedhorns can be either circular or linear polarized, depending on the type of signal being received. They are an essential component of satellite communication systems, allowing for the reception of signals from satellites in orbit around the Earth.
