Emissions Testing
Emissions testing is the process of measuring the pollutants emitted by a vehicle or a spacecraft to ensure that they comply with the environmental regulations. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, emissions testing is performed to measure the amount of harmful gases and particles released by rockets, satellites, and other spacecraft during launch and operation. The testing is done to ensure that the emissions do not harm the environment or affect the health of people living in the vicinity of the launch site. Emissions testing involves the use of specialized equipment such as gas analyzers, particulate samplers, and remote sensing devices. The data collected during the testing is analyzed to determine the levels of pollutants and to identify any potential sources of emissions. The results of the testing are used to develop strategies to reduce emissions and to improve the environmental performance of the spacecraft.
