De-orbit Maneuvers

De-orbit maneuvers refer to the set of procedures and actions taken to bring a spacecraft or satellite out of orbit and back to Earth. These maneuvers are critical for the safe disposal of space debris and defunct satellites, as well as for the return of crewed spacecraft and payloads. De-orbit maneuvers typically involve firing thrusters or engines to slow down the spacecraft and change its trajectory, causing it to re-enter the Earth's atmosphere. The timing and execution of de-orbit maneuvers must be carefully planned and executed to ensure that the spacecraft or satellite does not pose a risk to other objects in space or on the ground. In addition, the heat generated during re-entry must be managed to prevent damage to the spacecraft and its contents.
