Chemical Engines


Chemical engines are rocket engines that generate thrust by the combustion of propellants. The propellants are usually stored in separate tanks and are mixed and ignited in the combustion chamber. The hot gases produced by the combustion are then expelled through a nozzle, creating a reaction force that propels the rocket forward. Chemical engines are the most common type of rocket engine used in space and astronautical engineering, due to their high thrust-to-weight ratio and controllability. They are used in a variety of applications, including launch vehicles, spacecraft propulsion, and interplanetary missions.
