If the CoG is not located within specific limits, the aircraft may become uncontrollable. The CoG also plays a significant role in spacecraft design and operation. For instance, during a spacecraft's launch, the CoG must be aligned with the direction of thrust to prevent the spacecraft from rotating. Furthermore, the CoG is also important in the design of space structures, such as satellites and space stations, where it is crucial for maintaining the desired orientation and stability.
