Cassini-Huygens Mission

The Cassini-Huygens Mission was a joint mission between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) to study Saturn and its system, including its rings and moons. The mission was composed of two main elements: the Cassini orbiter, which was designed to study Saturn and its moons, and the Huygens probe, which was designed to land on the surface of Saturn's largest moon, Titan. The mission launched in 1997 and arrived at Saturn in 2004. Over the course of its mission, Cassini made numerous discoveries, including the discovery of several new moons and the first observation of a hurricane on another planet. The Huygens probe successfully landed on Titan in 2005 and transmitted data back to Earth for several hours, providing scientists with valuable information about the moon's atmosphere and surface.
