Acid Rain

Acid rain is a type of rain that contains high levels of hydrogen ions (low pH) due to the burning of fossil fuels, volcanic eruptions, and other industrial processes. When these pollutants are released into the atmosphere, they react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form sulfuric acid and nitric acid. These acids then fall to the ground as acid rain, damaging forests, lakes, and other ecosystems. Acid rain can also corrode buildings and infrastructure, and can harm human health by causing respiratory problems. In space and astronautical engineering context, acid rain is not a relevant issue as it is a phenomenon that occurs only on Earth due to human activities and natural causes.
