Tracking Stations

Tracking stations are ground-based facilities equipped with antennas, receivers, and other equipment used to communicate with spacecraft in orbit or beyond. These stations are strategically located around the world to ensure continuous communication with spacecraft as the Earth rotates. They receive telemetry data from the spacecraft, which includes information on the spacecraft's health, position, and scientific data. They also send commands to the spacecraft to perform various operations such as adjusting its trajectory or turning on/off instruments. Tracking stations are operated by space agencies such as NASA, ESA, and JAXA, as well as private companies such as SpaceX and OneWeb.
