SpaceX is a private American aerospace manufacturer and space transportation services company founded in 2002 by Elon Musk. The company designs, manufactures, and launches advanced rockets and spacecraft. SpaceX's ultimate goal is to enable people to live on other planets. The company has developed the Falcon 1, Falcon 9, Falcon Heavy, and Dragon spacecraft. Falcon 9 and Dragon were developed to deliver cargo and eventually humans to the International Space Station. Falcon Heavy is currently the world's most powerful operational rocket. SpaceX has also been working on the Starship, a fully reusable spacecraft designed to transport up to 100 people to Mars and other destinations in the solar system.
