TOGA
TOGA (TOGA COare) is a satellite mission launched by NASA in 1992 to study the Earth's atmosphere and climate. The mission was designed to measure the distribution and transport of carbon dioxide and other gases in the atmosphere, as well as the exchange of energy between the atmosphere and the Earth's surface. TOGA carried a suite of instruments, including a carbon dioxide sensor, a radiometer, and a lidar, which allowed it to make measurements of the atmosphere at different altitudes. The mission was part of a larger effort to better understand the Earth's climate system and the role of greenhouse gases in climate change.
