Thermal Storage
Thermal storage refers to the process of storing thermal energy in a material or substance for later use. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, thermal storage is an important technology for managing the temperature of spacecraft and their components. This is particularly important for spacecraft that operate in extreme environments, such as those that travel to the outer planets or that are exposed to the intense heat of the sun. Thermal storage systems can be used to absorb excess heat generated by spacecraft components and release it when needed to maintain a stable temperature.
