Spectral Distribution

Spectral distribution refers to the distribution of electromagnetic radiation (EMR) across different wavelengths or frequencies. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, spectral distribution is an important concept as it is used to analyze and understand the properties of EMR emitted by celestial objects such as stars, planets, and galaxies. By studying the spectral distribution of EMR, scientists can determine the temperature, composition, and motion of celestial objects. Spectral distribution is also used in the design and development of instruments such as telescopes and spectrometers that are used to observe and measure EMR in space.
