Space Weather Research

Space Weather Research is the study of the dynamic conditions in the Earth's upper atmosphere and near-Earth space environment that can affect the performance and reliability of space-borne and ground-based technological systems. It involves the monitoring and modeling of solar and geomagnetic activity, as well as the effects of ionospheric disturbances, solar flares, coronal mass ejections, and other space weather events on communication, navigation, and surveillance systems. Space Weather Research also aims to develop forecasting and mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of space weather on critical infrastructure and human activities.
