Satellite Dish (aka Parabolic Reflector)
A satellite dish, also known as a parabolic reflector, is a type of antenna used in space and astronautical engineering to receive and transmit signals from and to communication satellites. The dish is shaped like a parabola, which allows it to focus incoming radio waves onto a small receiver element located at the focal point of the dish. The receiver then converts the radio waves into electrical signals that can be processed by electronic equipment. Similarly, the dish can also transmit signals by converting electrical signals into radio waves that are then reflected off the dish and transmitted into space. Satellite dishes are commonly used for television and internet communication, as well as for scientific research and military applications.
