Singularity

In space and astronautical engineering, Singularity refers to a hypothetical point in space-time where the laws of physics as we know them break down. It is believed that such a point exists at the center of a black hole, where the gravitational pull is so strong that it warps space and time to the point where they become indistinguishable. Singularity is also a term used in the context of the technological singularity, which refers to a hypothetical future point in time when artificial intelligence surpasses human intelligence, leading to an exponential increase in technological progress. In this context, Singularity is seen as a potential existential risk to humanity, as it could lead to the creation of superintelligent machines that could pose a threat to human existence.
