Relay Station

A Relay Station is a spacecraft that is used to receive and retransmit signals from other spacecraft or ground stations. It is typically placed in a high orbit around a planet or moon to provide a wide coverage area. Relay stations are used to extend the range of communication between spacecraft and ground stations, and to provide continuous coverage of a planet or moon as it rotates. They are also used to provide backup communication links in case of equipment failure or other problems. Relay stations can be manned or unmanned, and can be designed for specific missions or for general use.
