Refrigeration Cycle
Refrigeration cycle is a thermodynamic cycle used in space and astronautical engineering to transfer heat from a low-temperature region to a high-temperature region. It is used in spacecraft to maintain a suitable temperature for the crew and equipment. The cycle consists of four main components: compressor, condenser, expansion valve, and evaporator. The refrigerant is compressed in the compressor and then condensed in the condenser, releasing heat to the surroundings. The high-pressure liquid refrigerant then passes through the expansion valve, where it undergoes a pressure drop and becomes a low-pressure liquid. This low-pressure liquid refrigerant then enters the evaporator, where it absorbs heat from the surroundings and evaporates into a low-pressure vapor. The vapor is then returned to the compressor to complete the cycle.
