Reflective Coatings
Reflective coatings are thin layers of materials applied to surfaces of spacecraft or satellites to reflect or absorb specific wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation. These coatings are designed to protect the spacecraft from the harsh environment of space, including extreme temperatures, radiation, and micrometeoroids. Reflective coatings can also be used to control the temperature of the spacecraft by reflecting or absorbing sunlight. They are commonly used on solar panels, antennas, and other critical components of spacecraft. Reflective coatings are carefully selected and tested to ensure they meet the specific requirements of the mission and the environment in which the spacecraft will operate.
