Red Giant
Red Giant is a stage in the life cycle of a star, which occurs when a star has exhausted the hydrogen fuel in its core and begins to fuse helium. This fusion causes the star to expand and cool, increasing its radius and decreasing its surface temperature, making it appear red. Red Giants are important in space and astronautical engineering as they are used as a standard candle to measure distances in the universe. They are also studied to understand the evolution of stars and the fate of our own Sun.
