Power Towers

Power Towers are a type of space structure that harvests solar energy and converts it into electricity. They consist of a tall tower with a large number of mirrors or lenses that focus sunlight onto a central receiver. The receiver then converts the concentrated solar energy into electricity, which can be used to power spacecraft or transmitted back to Earth. Power Towers have the advantage of being able to generate electricity continuously, even when the spacecraft is in shadow or orbiting a planet. They are also highly efficient, with some designs able to convert up to 80% of the incoming solar energy into electricity. However, they require a large amount of space and are currently only practical for use in outer space.
