Power Distribution Units
Power Distribution Units (PDUs) are devices used in space and astronautical engineering to distribute electrical power to various components and systems within a spacecraft or satellite. PDUs receive power from the spacecraft's power source and distribute it to different subsystems, such as communication, propulsion, and scientific instruments. They also monitor the power usage and provide protection against overloading or short circuits. PDUs can be designed to operate in different voltage and current levels, and can be configured with various types of connectors and outlets to match the specific needs of the spacecraft. The reliability and efficiency of PDUs are critical for the success of a space mission, as any power failure or malfunction can cause catastrophic consequences.
