Planetary Defense

Planetary Defense is the science and technology related to detecting, tracking, and mitigating the potential impact of near-Earth objects (NEOs) such as asteroids and comets. It involves developing strategies to prevent or minimize the damage caused by a potential impact, including deflection or disruption of the object's trajectory. Planetary Defense also includes the study of the effects of such impacts on Earth's environment and biosphere, as well as the development of emergency response plans in case of an impact event.
