Passive Radiometers

Passive radiometers are instruments used to measure the natural electromagnetic radiation emitted or reflected by objects in space, such as planets, stars, and galaxies. These instruments do not emit any radiation themselves, but instead detect and measure the radiation that is naturally present. Passive radiometers are used in a variety of applications, including remote sensing, atmospheric studies, and astronomy. They can be used to measure the temperature, composition, and other properties of objects in space, as well as to study the interactions between different types of radiation. Passive radiometers are often used in conjunction with other instruments, such as active sensors, to provide a more complete picture of the electromagnetic environment in space.
