Optical Disc
An optical disc is a type of storage media that uses laser technology to read and write data. It consists of a flat, circular disc made of plastic or glass, with a reflective surface that stores data in the form of tiny pits and lands. The disc is read by a laser beam that reflects off the surface of the disc and detects changes in the reflection caused by the pits and lands. Optical discs are commonly used for storing digital data, such as music, movies, and computer software. They are also used for archival storage of important data, as they have a long lifespan and are resistant to damage from water, dust, and scratches.
