Numerical Notation

Numerical notation is the method of representing numbers using symbols or digits. In space and astronautical engineering, numerical notation is used extensively for calculations and measurements. The most commonly used numerical notation system is the decimal system, which uses ten digits (0-9) to represent all numbers. However, other numerical notation systems such as binary, octal, and hexadecimal are also used in space and astronautical engineering. Binary notation is particularly important in digital systems, where all information is represented using only two digits (0 and 1). Octal and hexadecimal notation are used for their ease of conversion to binary notation. In space and astronautical engineering, numerical notation is used for a wide range of applications, including navigation, communication, and data analysis.
