Natural Satellites

Natural satellites are celestial bodies that orbit around a planet or a dwarf planet. They are also known as moons. Natural satellites can be classified into two categories: regular and irregular. Regular satellites have nearly circular orbits and are close to the planet's equatorial plane, while irregular satellites have more elliptical orbits and are farther from the planet. Natural satellites play an important role in the study of the solar system, as they provide information about the formation and evolution of planets. They also have potential for scientific exploration and resource utilization.
