Models

In space and astronautical engineering, models refer to physical or virtual representations of spacecraft, rockets, satellites, or other space systems. These models are used to simulate and test the behavior and performance of the actual system in various conditions, such as launch, orbit, and re-entry. Physical models can be scaled-down versions of the actual system, made of materials such as plastic or metal, and can be tested in wind tunnels or other facilities. Virtual models, on the other hand, are created using computer-aided design (CAD) software and can be used to simulate the system's behavior in a variety of scenarios. Models are an essential tool in the design and development of space systems, allowing engineers to identify and address potential issues before the actual system is built and launched.
