MAPS-NET
MAPS-NET (Multi-Aperture Pixel-Subsampling for Near-Earth Object Tracking) is a space-based telescope system designed for detecting and tracking near-Earth objects (NEOs) such as asteroids and comets. The system uses a network of small telescopes with overlapping fields of view to capture images of the sky. These images are then combined to create a high-resolution map of the area being observed. MAPS-NET is capable of detecting NEOs as small as 30 meters in diameter, which is important for identifying potential impact hazards. The system is also designed to be highly automated, with real-time data processing and analysis capabilities.
