INSAT

INSAT (Indian National Satellite System) is a series of multipurpose geostationary satellites launched by the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) to provide telecommunications, broadcasting, meteorology, and search and rescue services. The INSAT system has played a significant role in the development of India's communication infrastructure and has helped in bridging the digital divide in the country. The satellites in the INSAT series are equipped with various payloads such as Very High-Resolution Radiometer (VHRR), Charge-Coupled Device (CCD) cameras, and Search and Rescue Transponders (SARTs) to provide a range of services. INSAT also provides services to other countries in the region, making it an important player in the field of satellite communication in Asia.
