Inertial Guidance

Inertial guidance is a navigation technique that uses accelerometers and gyroscopes to track the movement of a vehicle in space. The accelerometers measure changes in velocity, while the gyroscopes measure changes in orientation. By integrating these measurements over time, the system can determine the vehicle's position and velocity relative to its starting point. Inertial guidance is particularly useful in space travel, where GPS signals may not be available or reliable. It is also used in ballistic missiles and other military applications.
