Independent Variable

In space and astronautical engineering, an independent variable is a variable that is manipulated or changed by the experimenter in order to observe its effect on the dependent variable. Independent variables are often used in experiments to test the effects of different conditions or factors on a particular outcome. In space and astronautical engineering, independent variables can include factors such as the amount of fuel used in a rocket, the angle of a spacecraft's trajectory, or the temperature of a satellite's components. By manipulating these variables, engineers can observe how they affect the performance of a spacecraft or other space-related technology.
