Heaters

In space and astronautical engineering, heaters are devices used to maintain the temperature of spacecraft components and instruments. The extreme temperatures of space can cause damage to sensitive equipment, and heaters are used to prevent this by maintaining a stable temperature range. Heaters can be powered by electricity or by the spacecraft's own waste heat, and can be controlled by thermostats or other temperature sensors. In addition to preventing damage, heaters can also be used to regulate the temperature of propellants and other fluids used in spacecraft systems.
