Habitats

In space and astronautical engineering, habitats refer to the structures designed to provide a livable environment for humans in space. These structures can be located on the surface of a planet or moon, in orbit around a celestial body, or in deep space. Habitats must be designed to protect astronauts from the harsh conditions of space, including extreme temperatures, radiation, and micrometeoroids. They must also provide a breathable atmosphere, food, water, and waste management systems. Habitats can be permanent or temporary, and can be designed for a variety of purposes, such as scientific research, commercial activities, or human exploration. The design of habitats is a critical aspect of space exploration, as it enables humans to live and work in space for extended periods of time.
