Ground Test

Ground test refers to the testing of aerospace vehicles or components on the ground before they are flown. Ground tests are conducted to verify the performance, reliability, and safety of the vehicle or component. Ground tests can include structural tests, where the vehicle or component is subjected to loads to ensure it can withstand the stresses of flight, and functional tests, where the vehicle or component is tested to ensure it performs as expected. Ground tests can also include environmental tests, where the vehicle or component is exposed to extreme temperatures, pressures, and vibrations to simulate the conditions it will experience during flight. Ground tests are an important part of the aerospace engineering process, as they allow engineers to identify and correct any issues before the vehicle or component is flown.
