Geothermal Technology

Geothermal technology is the use of the Earth's internal heat to generate electricity or provide heating and cooling for buildings. This is achieved by drilling deep wells into the Earth's crust to access hot water and steam, which can be used to power turbines and generators. Geothermal technology is a renewable energy source that produces little to no greenhouse gas emissions and has a small environmental footprint. It is a reliable source of energy that can provide baseload power, meaning it can operate continuously, unlike some other renewable energy sources that are intermittent. Geothermal technology has the potential to be used in many parts of the world, but its development is limited by the availability of suitable geothermal resources and the high upfront costs of drilling and building geothermal power plants.
