Electromagnetic Fields

Electromagnetic fields (EMF) refer to the physical fields produced by electrically charged objects. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, EMF plays a crucial role in the design and operation of spacecraft and their subsystems. EMF is used for communication, navigation, and power generation in space. The Earth's magnetic field also affects spacecraft operations, and engineers must take this into account when designing spacecraft. Exposure to high levels of EMF can be harmful to humans, and astronauts are exposed to higher levels of EMF in space than on Earth. Therefore, EMF safety is an important consideration in space missions.
