EEPROM

EEPROM stands for Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory. It is a non-volatile memory that can be programmed and erased electrically. EEPROMs are used in space and astronautical engineering for storing critical data such as spacecraft configuration, telemetry, and scientific data. They are also used in microcontrollers and other electronic devices that require small amounts of non-volatile memory. EEPROMs are preferred over other types of non-volatile memory such as flash memory because they can be erased and reprogrammed in small blocks, which makes them more flexible and efficient. However, EEPROMs have limited endurance and can only be erased and reprogrammed a limited number of times before they wear out.
