Dynamic Compressor

In space and astronautical engineering, a dynamic compressor is a device that increases the pressure of a gas by imparting velocity to it in a rotating impeller. It is commonly used in rocket engines to compress the incoming air before it enters the combustion chamber. The dynamic compressor works by accelerating the air to a high velocity and then slowing it down in a diffuser, which converts the kinetic energy into pressure energy. This process is highly efficient and allows for a high compression ratio in a compact design. Dynamic compressors are also used in gas turbine engines, where they compress the incoming air before it enters the combustion chamber. They are typically more efficient than other types of compressors, such as positive displacement compressors, at high flow rates and low pressure differentials.
