Driven Element
In antenna design, a driven element is the part of the antenna that is directly connected to the radio transmitter or receiver. It is the part of the antenna that is responsible for converting electrical signals into electromagnetic waves or vice versa. The driven element is typically a dipole or a monopole, and it is usually positioned at the center of the antenna. The performance of the antenna is largely determined by the design of the driven element, including its length, shape, and orientation. The driven element is often surrounded by other passive elements, such as reflectors and directors, which help to shape and direct the radiation pattern of the antenna.
