Computational Model

A computational model is a mathematical representation of a system or process that is designed to be simulated on a computer. In the context of space and astronautical engineering, computational models are used to simulate the behavior of spacecraft, rockets, and other space-related systems. These models can be used to predict the performance of a system under different conditions, to optimize design parameters, and to identify potential problems before they occur. Computational models can be based on a variety of mathematical techniques, including finite element analysis, computational fluid dynamics, and Monte Carlo simulations. They can also incorporate data from physical experiments and observations to improve their accuracy. Computational models are an essential tool for space and astronautical engineers, allowing them to design and test complex systems in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
