Centrifuge
A centrifuge is a machine that rotates at high speeds to generate artificial gravity, which is used to simulate the effects of gravity on humans and equipment in space. Centrifuges are used in astronaut training to prepare astronauts for the physiological effects of spaceflight, such as muscle and bone loss, and to test equipment under simulated gravity conditions. They are also used in spacecraft design to study the behavior of fluids and materials under high gravity forces. Centrifuges can be designed to rotate about a horizontal or vertical axis, and can generate a range of gravitational forces, from fractions of Earth's gravity to several times Earth's gravity.
