Binary Star System
A binary star system is a system of two stars that are gravitationally bound and orbit around their common center of mass. Binary star systems are very common in the universe and are important in the study of astrophysics. They can be classified into several types based on the distance between the stars and their relative brightness. Some binary star systems are visible to the naked eye, while others require telescopes to observe. Binary star systems can also have planets orbiting around one or both of the stars, which can have unique and complex orbital dynamics. The study of binary star systems can provide insights into the formation and evolution of stars and their planetary systems.
