AWACS

AWACS (Airborne Warning and Control System) is a type of airborne radar system designed to provide advanced surveillance and command and control capabilities for military aircraft. It is typically mounted on a large aircraft such as a Boeing 707 or 767 and is equipped with a rotating radar dome that provides 360-degree coverage of the airspace. The system can detect and track aircraft, missiles, and other objects at long ranges and provide real-time situational awareness to friendly forces. AWACS can also direct fighter aircraft to intercept and engage hostile targets, and provide guidance for air-to-air and air-to-ground weapons. The system is a critical component of modern air warfare and has been used in numerous conflicts around the world.
