Radar

Radar is a system that uses radio waves to detect, locate, and track objects such as aircraft, spacecraft, missiles, ships, vehicles, and weather formations. It works by transmitting a radio signal and then receiving the signal that is reflected back from the object. The time delay between the transmission and reception of the signal is used to determine the distance to the object. Doppler radar can also measure the velocity of the object by analyzing the frequency shift of the reflected signal. Radar is used in many applications in space and astronautical engineering, including tracking satellites, monitoring space debris, and guiding spacecraft during landing. It is also used in weather forecasting to detect and track storms and other atmospheric phenomena.
