Algorithmic Redundancy

Algorithmic redundancy refers to the use of multiple algorithms or redundant components in a spacecraft or satellite system to increase reliability and reduce the risk of failure. This redundancy can be achieved through hardware redundancy, where multiple identical components are used, or through software redundancy, where multiple algorithms are used to perform the same function. In the event of a failure in one component or algorithm, the redundant component or algorithm can take over, ensuring that the system continues to function as intended. Algorithmic redundancy is a critical aspect of spacecraft and satellite design, as failures can have serious consequences, including loss of mission or even loss of life.
