Atmospheric Re-entry

Atmospheric re-entry is the process by which a spacecraft or satellite returns to the Earth's atmosphere from space. During re-entry, the spacecraft experiences extreme heat and pressure due to the friction between the atmosphere and the spacecraft's surface. The heat generated can cause the spacecraft to burn up if it is not properly designed to withstand the high temperatures. The spacecraft's shape and materials are carefully chosen to minimize the effects of re-entry. The angle of re-entry is also critical, as a shallow angle can cause the spacecraft to skip off the atmosphere and back into space, while a steep angle can cause it to burn up. The process of atmospheric re-entry is a critical component of space missions, as it allows spacecraft to return to Earth safely and deliver valuable scientific data and samples.
