Angle Of Attack
Angle of Attack (AoA) is the angle between the chord line of an airfoil and the relative wind. It is a critical parameter in aerospace engineering as it determines the amount of lift generated by the airfoil. At low angles of attack, the lift generated is proportional to the angle of attack. However, at higher angles of attack, the lift reaches a maximum point, after which it starts to decrease. This is due to the formation of turbulent flow over the airfoil, which causes a decrease in lift and an increase in drag. The angle of attack is an important parameter in the design of aircraft, as it affects the stall speed, climb rate, and maneuverability of the aircraft. It is also an important parameter in the design of wind turbines, as it affects the efficiency of the turbine blades.
