Amplitude Shift Keying
Amplitude Shift Keying (ASK) is a digital modulation technique used in space and astronautical engineering to transmit digital data over a communication channel by varying the amplitude of the carrier wave. In ASK, the amplitude of the carrier wave is switched between two different levels to represent binary 1 and 0. The receiver detects the amplitude changes and decodes the binary data. ASK is a simple and cost-effective modulation technique, but it is susceptible to noise and interference, which can cause errors in the received data. To improve the reliability of ASK, techniques such as error detection and correction codes, and signal processing algorithms are used.
