Aerobic Capacity
Aerobic capacity refers to the maximum amount of oxygen that an individual can utilize during exercise. In space and astronautical engineering, aerobic capacity is an important factor in determining an individual's ability to perform physical tasks in a low-gravity environment. Astronauts must maintain a high level of aerobic capacity in order to perform spacewalks, operate equipment, and conduct experiments. Maintaining aerobic capacity in space requires specialized exercise equipment and protocols, as well as careful monitoring of an astronaut's health and fitness. In addition, research into the effects of microgravity on aerobic capacity is ongoing, as scientists seek to better understand the long-term effects of spaceflight on human physiology.
