UARS
The Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite (UARS) was a NASA-operated orbital observatory that was launched in 1991 and decommissioned in 2005. Its mission was to study the Earth's atmosphere, particularly the ozone layer, and how it is affected by human activities and natural phenomena. UARS carried a suite of 10 scientific instruments that measured various atmospheric parameters such as temperature, pressure, and composition. The data collected by UARS helped scientists better understand the processes that govern the Earth's atmosphere and how they are changing over time.
